Microsoft's updated Custom Translator portal now available in public preview

Custom Translator portal

Microsoft has announced the launch of its latest Custom Translator portal to public preview. The new version delivers a more intuitive experience to allow users to develop custom translation models in an efficient manner. In addition to the new portal, the tech giant has also fine-tuned the Custom Translator V2 customization training pipeline on the basis of feedback from early adopters.

Custom Translator allows users to create a translation system that represents their business, industry, and domain-specific terminology and style. This resource efficiently combines with your existing applications, workflows, and websites. Users can access Custom Translator through Azure via the cloud-based Microsoft Text Translation API service.

Commenting on the custom translation system, Microsoft stated:

A well-trained custom translation system provides more accurate domain-specific translations. This is because it relies on previously translated in-domain documents to learn preferred translations. Translator uses these terms and phrases in context to produce fluent translations in the target language while respecting context-dependent grammar.

The latest Custom Translator portal includes essential improvements that allow you to easily create your custom translation system. Some of the changes that have come with the new update include UI/UX guided experience, embedded deep links for more details, tooltips for quick information, and actionable error messages. Users can access the new Custom Translator portal here.
