'Rise of the Tomb Raider' has gone gold for the Xbox One and Xbox 360

It has been announced that this year’s Tomb Raider release, 'Rise of the Tomb Raider' has gone gold on Xbox One and Xbox 360. The game is scheduled to release in little over a months time and will continue on from the events that took place in 2013's 'Tomb Raider'. Both versions on the Xbox platform will release on November 10th 2015, with a suggested year of exclusivity. The title will see a wider release in 2016.

Darrell Gallagher, Head of Product Development, gave the following statement in response to the commemorative event:

“We are pleased to confirm that gamers will be able to get their hands on Rise of the Tomb Raider very soon, when the game launches on November 10th. The entire team challenged themselves to improve on the last game that millions of fans enjoyed so much, and we believe we have created a worthy sequel to Tomb Raider 2013. With the game development now complete we are excited to share this incredible next chapter in Lara’s journey as she continues her growth into the ultimate action adventure icon, and accepts her destiny to become the Tomb Raider.”

While some might have been concerned that the next chapter in Lara's adventure would arrive late on Xbox 360, Crystal Dynamics has confirmed that the sequel will also make its way to Microsoft's previous console alongside the Xbox One. Those that have been eyeing an opportunity to purchase the Xbox One might be interested in the recently announced Rise of the Tomb Raider Xbox One console bundle.

Rise of the Tomb Raider will arrive in the Americas and Asia on Tuesday November 10th, with a one day delay in Japan, before a final release in EMEA on the Friday. For now, the game will be released exclusively on Xbox One and Xbox 360, until a later announcement.
