Samsung redesigns the Galaxy Store with increased focus on Fortnite

Every Samsung phone comes preloaded with Galaxy Store, which is now getting a redesign. The firm wants its phones to be the go-to option for mobile gamers and to that end, the redesigned Galaxy Store focuses heavily on gaming. The default tab is the “games” tab while the apps are grouped separately in the "apps" tab. Other than that, Galaxy Watch apps have been moved to a scrolling bar at the top.

Fortnite was recently removed from the App Store as well as the Play Store, and the Galaxy Store redesign takes full advantage of this situation. The “redesign” spares no effort to remind people that the Galaxy Store is the only store where you can download Fortnite without any workarounds.

Another advantage the Galaxy Store offers is that users earn rewards for buying games from there, which can be used towards making future purchases. The redesign also reminds users that they can access Xbox Game Pass Ultimate through its Galaxy Store and play more than 100 games using a compatible Bluetooth controller, right from their Galaxy smartphone.
