Spotify is offering a free Google Home Mini to subscribers of its family plan in the UK

Spotify offered a free Google Home Mini to subscribers of its family plan in the U.S. late last year. Today, it’s bringing that same offer to subscribers in the UK. Just as It was in the U.S., the offer is available to both existing and new subscribers.

A family plan costs £14.99/mo in the UK, allowing the paying member to assign a Premium membership for up to five other members. It certainly offers a good value considering the £9.99/mo price tag for an individual Premium membership.

It’s also worth noting that each Google Home Mini comes with a three-month free trial for YouTube Music Premium – which also gives users access to Google Play Music. Indirectly as it may be, Spotify is providing its members access to a competing service with this offer.

Just a few days ago, Spotify announced the inclusion of a subscription for the Hulu Limited Commercials plan with its standard $9.99/mo Premium plan for members in the U.S. Spotify is clearly trying to make its subscription a more valued proposition, perhaps in anticipation for Apple's upcoming rumored-to-be services-related announcements.

Spotify’s offer for UK members is available until May 14, or until supplies last. You can sign up to get your free device over here. It will have to be redeemed via the Google Store before May 24.
