The software giant has decided to rename its mobile and online payment service from Microsoft Wallet to Microsoft Pay. To install, the app requires at the very least the Fall Creators Update.
Ally Bank and First Light FCU are the latest banks to put their support behind Microsoft Wallet amid little fanfare. The Redmond company has been awfully quiet about Microsoft Wallet since last year.
Microsoft is allowing UWP developers to simplify payments in their apps with a Payment Request API. The company previously announced a preview of the API for Microsoft Edge late last year.
Android Pay isn't the only payment platform to announce support for Mastercard's digital payment service this week. Masterpass is also coming to Windows 10 phones, tablets and PCs.
