Windows 10: Technical Preview build 9879 comes with a new Windows Insider Hub app

Microsoft rolled out the latest update to its Windows 10 Technical Preview yesterday, bringing the version number up to build 9879. But in addition to the various improvements and new features that the new build brought, Microsoft also bundled a new app with it, called Insider Hub.

The app is intended for everyone using the Windows 10 Technical Preview, who are on Microsoft's 'Windows Insider' program for early access to OS updates. The company said that "the Insider Hub is your one-stop shop for all the latest news and announcements regarding the Windows Insider Program."

The app delivers updates and information about the program and new OS builds, and also integrates with Windows 10's Notification Center. Microsoft says that in the app, it will "also post quests for you to try out new features and then send us feedback (via the Windows Feedback app)".

However, be aware that the app isn't pinned to your Start menu or Start screen, so you'll need to find it in the All Apps list to launch it and pin it for the first time.
