Chuwi's HiGame compact PC with Intel's 8th-gen CPUs and Radeon Vega GPUs is now available

It was only last month when Chuwi announced that it would be expanding its product offerings with a high powered compact PC. The HiGame has now been made available through Indiegogo, with an expected shipping date of August 2018.

Perhaps what makes the HiGame PC an enticing purchase is that it offers quite a lot of power in a small footprint, measuring in at 173.0 x 158.0 x 73mm. Two variants of the computer will be made available during the campaign, one with an Intel 8th-gen Core i5-8305G and Radeon RX Vega M GL graphics card, and another with an Intel 8th-gen Core i7-8709G and Radeon RX Vega M GH graphics card. The Core i5 model will have 8GB DDR4 RAM and 128GB SSD for storage, while the Core i7 unit will have the same 8GB RAM, but will have increased internal storage capacity with a 256GB SSD.

The HiGame is now being offered on Indiegogo first before it arrives to various retail channels. Those taking advantage of the campaign will receive a sizeable discount from its retail price. The Core i5 unit is priced at $899, while the Core i7 model will be $1,099. After only a short time, the project has already exceeded its initial goal.

Despite this, crowdfunding campaigns don't always guarantee a finished and delivered product, so take caution when parting with your hard-earned money. But, with Chuwi being an established company and having successfully delivered on previous campaigns, you should feel a bit safer when plunking down your money.
