Destroy All Humans! remake announced for PC, PS4 and Xbox One

Earlier today, video game publisher THQ Nordic revealed the trailer for its upcoming title, Destroy All Humans!, a remake of the cult classic created by Pandemic Studios in 2005. Developed by THQ Nordic’s studio Black Forest Games based in Germany, the new game is scheduled for release next year to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the Destroy All Humans! franchise.

The game will be available on multiple platforms including PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The original games never had a PC release, so this will be the first time PC players get to experience Crypto's plans to take over the Earth. Customers will be able to purchase the game for PC via Steam.

Here is the blurb which summarizes the story of the game:

Terrorize the people of 1950s Earth in the role of the evil alien Crypto-137. Harvest DNA and bring down the US government in the remake of the legendary alien invasion action adventure. Annihilate puny humans using an assortment of alien weaponry and psychic abilities. Reduce their cities to rubble with your flying Saucer! One giant step on mankind!

While the trailer revealed that the action-adventure game will be hitting the shelves sometime in 2020, no specific date was mentioned. Similarly, the exact release date is also missing from the Steam page for Destroy All Humans! - only the year is mentioned. The price is also yet to be announced for the title.
