EA announces 'A Way Out', new co-op game by the Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons developer

EA showed off a brand new co-op game at its EA Play event by the team behind Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons. Titled, A Way Out, the game focuses on two convicts, Leo and Vincent, and their story following a prison break and other antics. The game's brand new gameplay trailer is seen above.

Unlike in Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons, where a single player controlled the two characters, A Way Out is only playable in co-op, and will always have both perspectives visible in split screen, either when playing in couch co-op or online.

The game will begin in a prison, with both characters plotting their escape, and eventually progress into the outside world. The trailer also shows a unique aspect of the game where one player can be in a cut scene while the other is in full control doing another task. There will also be multiple methods in which players can tackle problems, with different actions available for each character.

Although a definite release date hasn't been announced yet, the developer said A Way Out is slated for an early 2018 launch for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. The game's official website is found here.
