Far Cry 5 is free for the weekend on the PC platform

French video game maker Ubisoft announced today that Far Cry 5, the fifth main title in the popular Far Cry franchise, will be free to play this weekend for all PC users. Players from around the world can access the game for free this Friday from the Ubisoft Store or Uplay PC. Access to the title will be revoked once the time limit expires.

In order to ensure that players can make the most of the limited time, the 2018 first-person action-adventure title will be available to pre-load from today onwards. As an added bonus, those who would like to continue playing the game even after the free weekend ends will be glad to know that the full-fledged video game is currently on sale until June 2, 2020.

As part of the promotion, Ubisoft is currently offering a 75% discount on the Standard and Gold editions of Far Cry 5. Additionally, other content for the game is also discounted, with the game's Season Pass, DLCs, and the Deluxe Pack on sale for 50% off. Fortunately, players who purchase the game after enjoying it for free will be able to continue playing from the point where they left off as their game saves will be carried over to the paid version.

More detailed information about the limited time Far Cry 5 promotion, such as the time schedule for different regions, can be found on the official website of the franchise. Those interested in the ongoing sale can head over to the Ubisoft Store or Uplay PC to purchase the discounted game.
