Halo 3: ODST PC Insider tests to begin next week

More Halo is headed towards PC players, as 343 Industries is almost ready to begin its Insider flights for Halo 3: ODST. If current plans receive the go-ahead, the previously announced flight content, such as the six campaign missions and seven Firefight maps, plus some extras will be made available for public testing next week.

In the latest Halo: The Master Chief Collection flighting update, 343's Tyler "Postums" Davis shared that the internal testing teams had "been able to squash 80+ bugs associated with Halo 3: ODST across the board", and that they will be working through the weekend to further stress the build. The increase in polish is slated to deliver a much smoother experience for players coming in for testing sessions.

Moreover, some Halo 3 content will be made available for testing with this build, including quality of life updates and Season 3 cosmetic content. Since ODST's Firefight mode is being introduced to the Master Chief Collection for the first time, Xbox One Halo Insiders will be receiving invites to this flight as well.

Unless new blockers are discovered, the Halo 3: ODST flight will be made available to Halo Insiders on PC (via Microsoft Store and Steam) and Xbox One next week. Those who are interested in jumping into these sessions can sign up to be a Halo Insider by heading over here.
