Nvidia has launched its new GeForce RTX 2060 12GB GPU today. Although it bears the name of the RTX 2060, the CUDA core count of the GPU matches that of the RTX 2060 SUPER and also has 50% more VRAM compared to the latter's 8GB.

As such, a Zotac Twin Edge variant of the new 12GB RTX 2060 was reviewed today by Hong Kong media outlet PCMarket, and what the site has found is certainly worrying for gamers, though miners would probably be feeling the opposite.

Apparently, the RTX 2060 12GB seems to be performing tremendously well at mining and seems to be the most efficient GPU among other similarly priced cards. The graphics card has exhibited an efficiency level of 379.33kH/J as it is able to mine with a hash rate of 31.65MH/s by consuming 83.44W of power.

Of course, the 12GB VRAM is also something miners would appreciate.

Gaming-wise, the card performs where you'd expect it to. Though, again, thanks to that 12GB frame buffer, the card can be mighty impressive in situations that are extremely VRAM intensive. For example, in Far Cry 6 with all bell and whistles enabled, ie, ultra (HD Textures On) at 4K resolution, the card produces a near-playable performance.

Nvidia had added support for the new RTX 2060 12GB a few days ago with the GeForce 497.09 WHQL display driver, so make sure you install the driver if you decide to pick it up.
