Sony celebrates PlayStation's 20th anniversary with discounts on popular titles

Sony's PlayStation console was launched 20 years ago today and to celebrate the occasion, the company is offering popular titles at reduced rates.

Earlier today, Sony announced the 20th anniversary Limited Edition PlayStation 4 but the celebrations aren't limited to that, as the company has made many games on all of its consoles available at discounted rates.

Gamers can choose from their favorite PS games ranging from the original Metal Gear Solid on the PSOne to KillZone on the PS3; the Grand Theft Auto series is available for almost every PlayStation; PSP and PSVita users also have a range of titles to choose from.

PS Plus subscribers are entitled to an additional 10 percent discount, which is a good deal to get hold of some of the classics. It is unclear if the slashed prices are permanent but some games are discounted for a limited time only, so eager folks should head to the PlayStation Store soon. Also, the offers are not available in all regions and users should check their local PS website for details.
