Google Chrome is finally adding support for HEVC (H.265) decoding with version 107 today. This is despite Mozilla saying that it plans to add no support for the modern compression format.
Samsung has been sued for infringing HEVC patents as the South Korean giant has been continuing to offer products that come with HEVC or H.266 support, even after its license has long expired.
