Telltale Games to launch Guardians of the Galaxy Episode 2 'Under Pressure' on June 6

Just earlier this week, Telltale Games announced plans to release The Walking Dead: A New Frontier's final episode before the end of this month. Today, the studio is back bearing one more announcement regarding the release date of one of its projects, and this time it's for Guardians of the Galaxy.

The developer's Guardians of the Galaxy adaptation was unveiled back in December last year, and its first episode, titled Tangled Up in Blue, was subsequently launched in April to positive reviews. For the uninitiated, The Telltale Series is not based in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but follows an original storyline concerning the familiar Guardians.

The upcoming second episode is titled Under Pressure, keeping to the series' theme of naming episodes after classic hit songs. Telltale gave a small snippet of information about the episode on its announcement, which is as follows:

In "Under Pressure," the Guardians just can't seem to outrun the past (or their tab), but if they figure out how to control the untold power of their mysterious new relic, they might not have to. With help from dubious old friends and unwilling new allies, Star-Lord and company scour the galaxy for answers. But how long can they elude the genocidal maniac hunting them? And will simmering tensions finally tear the team apart?

And get ready to delve into a certain Rocket Raccoon's past...

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Episode Two, Under Pressure, is slated to be launched on June 6 for PC, Mac, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, as well as iOS and Android devices. The episode will be available individually for $5, or as part of the game's $20 season pass, which will also provide access to all upcoming episodes as they launch.
