Final Fantasy VII coming to Steam?

If a leaked product description is legit, Final Fantasy VII could be coming to Steam in the near future. The description briefly appeared on FinalFantasyVIIPC.com, where it was spotted by a member of the GOG forums. The description has since been removed, but you can still see it via Google's cached version of the page.

According the the description, the re-release will come equipped with 36 achievements and support for cloud saves, which means you can pick up the game and play it on whatever device suits you best. The description lists the game's price as £7.99 / €9.99, with no USD price provided.

Finally, in a move sure to please hardcore fans, Square Enix may be considering adding micro-transactions into the classic. The description mentions a new 'Character Booster' that "can increase your HP, MP and Gil levels to their maximum, all with the simple click of a button, leaving you to enjoy your adventure." Of course, it could just be Square's take on Nintendo's Super Guide.

The description doesn't mention a release date, but if Square really is setting up the website, the game shouldn't be too far behind.
