Microsoft unveiled the Lumia 640 XL at Mobile World Congress in March 2015, and it went on sale in the US a few months later, priced at $299 unlocked, or $249 on AT&T. The extra-large Windows phone has fallen in price considerably since then - and it's now available at its lowest price so far.
In July, the AT&T model dropped to $149.99, before a further reduction to $99.99 in October. Microsoft cut the price of the unlocked version to $199 back in April, but last month, deals website DailySteals.com offered it for just $79.99.
Now, DailySteals.com is offering the Lumia 640 XL for even less, but there's a catch. The handset is now on sale there for just $69.99 unlocked, but the specific model (RM-1066) that it's offering does not include 4G LTE support.
The Lumia 640 XL's key specs include:

The unlocked device is available in black, white, orange and blue, but the lack of 4G LTE connectivity means that it won't be ideal for everyone, although it might be a suitable purchase as a spare handset, a phone for one of the kids, or perhaps even as a developer device for testing purposes.
But if the issue of connectivity is a deal-breaker, you might be interested in another deal, available at Amazon.com. For the same price of $69.99, the online retailer is offering the Lumia 640 XL in black with 4G LTE connectivity, but locked to AT&T.

The Lumia 640 XL ships with Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2 onboard, but it is eligible for an official Windows 10 Mobile upgrade, including the latest Anniversary Update.
